Notes on connecting to the internet with products manufactured by Sony

When you connect a product manufactured by Sony such as a TV or Blu-ray recorder to the internet, use a router to connect, or connect the product to a LAN port with a router function.

• Wired/wireless connection via router

  [C]: Router (equipped with IP conversion function, and functioning as a hub)
  [D]: Wireless LAN

• Connecting to a LAN port (*1) with a router function

If a security problem occurs, the product may be affected by malware (malicious software) resulting in the risk of theft or falsification of personal information or content. In addition, you can cause unintentional harm to network services if the device is affected.

*1 Check with your apartment manager or internet service provider to determine whether your outlet device for network lines has a router function.
