Screen Mirroring is not working using Wi-Fi Direct
Wi-Fi Direct by itself cannot be used to perform Screen Mirroring. It is not the same thing as the Miracast technology that is used for Screen Mirroring.
Miracast builds upon Wi-Fi Direct technology with mechanisms to negotiate the video connection between devices, setup content protection (if needed), stream content and maintain the video session.
NOTE: Different manufacturers have different names for the Miracast feature. Below are some examples.
- Sony: Screen mirroring
- Samsung: AllShare Cast or Screen Mirroring
- LG Nexus: Wireless Display
