    Restoring data backed up using "Music Center for PC"

    Note

    • Exit all software other than the "Music Center for PC" backup tool.
    • Do not put the computer in an inactive state, such as sleep mode, while you are saving a backup copy.
      The data may be lost or the backup may fail.
    • The larger the size of the content, the longer it will take to finish the backup.

    Restoring data backed up using "Music Center for PC Ver.2.2.0" or later

    1. Select (Menu) on the upper left of the screen, and then select [Restore backup data] from the [Tools] menu.
    2. Read the displayed information thoroughly, and select [Next].
    3. Select [Browse...], and specify the save destination for the backup data on the displayed screen.

      Specify the save destination, and select [Select Folder].

    4. Be sure to confirm that the selected save destination is displayed for "Backup data to restore:".
    5. Select "Restore destination:".

      Select either of the following options.

      [Restore to same location as backup data]:

      Restores all songs and playlists in the "Music Center for PC" data to the same location where they are backed up.

      [Restore to assigned folder]:

      Newly restores all songs and playlists in the "Music Center for PC" data to the desired folder.

    6. Confirm the displayed information and select [Start].
    7. After the restore operation is complete, select [OK].

    Restoring data backed up using "Music Center for PC Ver.2.1.0"

    If you are using "Music Center for PC Ver.2.1.0", check the following information.

    Restoring data backed up using "Music Center for PC Ver.1.0"

    To restore data backed up using "Music Center for PC Ver.1.0", use the following procedure.

    • Windows 10/Windows 8.1
      1. Right-click the [Start] button, and select [Search].
      2. Enter "Music Center for PC data restoration tool" into the [Type here to search] box.
      3. Select "Music Center for PC data restoration tool", when it is displayed.
      4. When "Music Center for PC data restoration tool" starts up, perform the procedure according to the instructions displayed on the screen.
    • Windows 7
      1. Click the [Start] button, and enter "Music Center for PC data restoration tool" into the [Search programs and files] box.
      2. Select "Music Center for PC data restoration tool," when it is displayed.
      3. When "Music Center for PC data restoration tool" starts up, perform the procedure according to the instructions displayed on the screen.
