How to set-up a local network connection on Linux operating system?  

    1. Please click on the lower right corner of the red cross icon, and then the left mouse button to select Network Management Settings. A configuration window is displayed.
       
    2. Confirm the category network connection on the left column is selected, if not checked.
    3. In the right half of the border area within the wired connection option is selected, click on the Add button, select the wired connection option. Add Network Connections window is displayed.
    4. Select the IPv4 Address tab, modify the method. 
      -The dhcp, choose the default Automatic (DHCP).
      -If you use a static IP address to the Internet, on the method, select Manual on the dropdown menu.
      -Fill-in the following information such as IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS
      -Check the Best to connect automatically
      -Check to be able to automatically connect.
    5. Finally, click on the OK button to exit.
