How to enable file sharing?
Follow the steps below to share a file folder and drive respectively:
- To share a file folder
1. Start Windows Explorer.
2. Browse to the folder and right-click the folder.
3. Click Sharing and Security.
4. Select the Share this folder on the network option.
5. Make the necessary sharing settings for this folder and click OK.
- To share a drive
1. Start Windows Explorer.
2. Select a drive to be shared.
3. Right-click the drive and click Sharing and Security.
4. Click If you understand the risk but still want to share the root of the driver, click here.
5. Make the necessary sharing settings for this drive and click OK.
Note: Shared resources can be identified by a hand icon.
