How to switch between auto focus and manual focus when a lens mount adapter is attached (NEX Series)

Follow these steps to switch between auto focus and manual focus.

Using the LA-EA1 or LA-EA3: The focus mode can be switched only when using a SAM/SSM lens. You can switch between auto focus (AF) and manual focus (MF) by using the AF/MF switch on the lens.

Using the LA-EA2 or LA-EA4:

• Using a SAM/SSM lens: You can switch between auto focus (AF) and manual focus (MF) by using the AF/MF switch on the lens. The focus mode cannot be switched by going to the menu of the camera.
• Using other than SAM/SSM lens: You can switch between auto focus (AF) and manual focus (MF) by using the Focus Mode or AF/MF Select on the camera menu.

IMPORTANT: When using the NEX-7 with an SSM lens: You can select MENU → Camera → AF/MF Select → MF (Manual Focus) only when the focus mode lever on the lens is set to AF. In this case, pressing the AF/MF button with the AF/MF/AEL switch lever at the AF/MF position will switch between auto focus and manual focus.

NOTE: The Single-shot AF or Continuous AF is active depending on the settings of the Autofocus Mode.
