Camera battery not charging when connected to a USB AC Adapter via USB Cable
Preparation Before Charging
Ensure the Camera is powered off: Unlike smartphones, the camera battery cannot be charged while the camera is on, even during image playback.
Charging Requirements
- If your camera did not include a USB AC adapter or USB cable, use a commercially available USB AC adapter and USB cable.
- If you are using a USB PD (USB Power Delivery) device, please ensure it supports an output of at least 18W (9V/2A).
- When using a USB AC adapter, ensure it has a rated output of at least 1.5A.
- For some cameras with both a Multi/Micro USB terminal and a USB Type-C® terminal, charging via the Multi/Micro USB terminal is not possible. Please use the USB Type-C terminal.
Check the USB cable connection
- Turn off the camera.
- Reinsert the battery.
- Connect the USB cable to the USB port on the camera.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on the AC adapter.
- Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet.
-
Confirm if the charge lamp lights up. This indicates that charging has begun.

Troubleshooting
The charge lamp turns off immediately
If the charge lamp turns off right after charging starts, the battery may already be fully charged. Check the battery level on your camera to confirm.
If the charge lamp does not light up
- Remove the battery and reinsert it 2-3 times.
- If possible, try charging with a different battery. If the charge lamp lights up when using another battery, the original battery may be faulty.
