How to change the program assigned to a shortcut key?

    Changing the program assigned to a shortcut key.


    * This is an example of assigning a program to the S1 button.
    1. Right-click the VAIO Action Setup icon displayed in the task tray and then click Open.
    2. Click the S1 button.

    After this, proceed with the steps below for the various options.

    A. To establish settings from Recommended Settings
    * This is an example of assigning PictureGear Ver.5.1 to the key.
    1. Click Recommended Settings.
    2. Click Sony Original Software-PictureGear and then click Next.
    3. Perform the settings for Application name, Specify working directory and Command line option (if necessary) and click Next.
    4. Perform the settings of Configuration name and Description, and click Finish.

    B. To establish settings from Favorites
    VAIO Action Setup allows setting of Favorites to a shortcut key as well.
    * This is an example of assigning VAIO Online.
    1. Click the Favorites button.
    2. Click Sony-VAIO Online.url and then click Next.
    3. Perform the settings of Application name, Specify working directory and Command line option (if necessary), and click Next.
    4. Perform the settings of Configuration name and Description, and click Finish.

    C. To establish the settings from Program Files
    * This is an example of assigning PictureGear Ver5.1.
    1. Click Program Files.
    2. Click Programs-PictureGear 5.1-PictureGear 5.1.lnk and then click Next.
    3. Perform the settings of Application name, Specify working directory and Command line option (if necessary), and click Next.
    4. Perform the settings of Configuration name and Description, and click Finish.

    D. To establish the settings from All Files
    * This is an example of assigning PictureGear Ver5.1.
    1. Click the option button from All Files.
    2. Click C:-Program Files-Sony-PictureGear-PicGear.exe and then click Next.
    3. Perform the settings of Application name, Specify working directory and Command line option (if necessary), and click Next.
    4. Perform the settings of Configuration name and Description, and click Finish.

    E. To establish the settings from Drag & Drop
    * This is an example of assigning PictureGear Ver5.1.
    1. Click the Drag & Drop.
    2. Drag and drop the PictureGear icon from the Start menu and then click Next.
    3. Perform the settings of Application name, Specify working directory and Command line option (if necessary), and click Next.
    4. Perform the settings of Configuration name and Description, and click Finish.

    F. To establish the settings from Remove
    Carrying out this procedure disables the startup of software even when a shortcut key is pressed.
    1. Click Remove.
    2. Click Current assignment will be deleted.
    3. Click Finish.
