How to create VAIO Recovery Disc in VAIO Recovery Utility Ver.2.*?

Creating a recovery disc.

    VAIO users can use VAIO Recovery Utility to create a recovery disc.

    Please refer to the information below to create a recovery disc.

    ※ Please refer to the following related link to check the computer models.


    ■ Use DVD-R and DVD+R to create a recovery disc
    ■ Use CD-R CD to create a recovery disc




    ■ Use DVD-R and DVD+R to create a recovery disc

    Note:
    Different computer models may require different copies of DVD-R(DVD+R) CD.

    ※ The following illustration is based on DVD-R.
    In addition, different versions of VAIO Recovery Utility may have different interfaces displayed.
    1. Click Start → All Programs → VAIO Recovery Tool→ VAIO Recovery Utility.

    2. When the VAIO Recovery Utility dialog box appears, select Create a recovery disc, and then click OK.
       

    3. When the recovery disc Wizard dialog box appears, please click Next.
       

    4. Select  Use a DVD-R or DVD+R, and click Next.

    5. When the Create a recovery disc dialog box appears, click Start to create.
       

    6. Create a recovery disc appears.
      Please insert a new DVD-R or DVD+R, click OK.

       

    7. When the A recovery disc has been created dialog box appears, click OK and close all the boxes.




    ■ Use CD-R CD to create a recovery disc.

    Note:
    Different computer models may require different copies of DVD-R(DVD+R) CD.

    ※ Different versions of VAIO Recovery Utility may have different interfaces displayed.
    1. Click Start → All Programs → VAIO Recovery Tool → VAIO Recovery Utility.

    2. When the VAIO Recovery Utility dialog box appears, select Create a recovery disc, and then click OK.

    3. When the recovery disc Wizard appears, click Next.

    4. Select  Use X CD-R to create, and then click Next.

      ※ X will show the number of copies of CD-R users need.
      Different computer models may show different number X.

       

    5. When the Create a recovery disc dialog box appears, click Start to create.

       

    6. When the Create **** dialog box appears,
      please insert a new CD-R, and click OK.

      ※ Different computer models may have different recovery discs names and the information of [****] may be different.

       


        7.    Before users create all the recovery discs, please repeat Step 5 and Step 6.

       

        8.    When the A recovery disc has been created dialog box appears, click OK and close all the boxes.
