Why can't the screen resolution of the external display be changed using Display Properties?
The screen resolution of the external display cannot be changed using Display Properties.
Screen resolution of external displays cannot be changed using the Display Properties window.
Please use the Sony Notebook Setup utility to configure the screen resolution of the external display.
1. Click Start and select All Programs.
2. Select Sony Notebook Setup and click Sony Notebook Setup.
3. Click Shortcut Keys and select Change the screen resolution after switching the output display.
4. At External display only:, select the desired screen resolution and click OK.
Note: If Change the screen resolution after switching the output display is not selected, the setting is not enabled.
