What if the touch pad is not functioning properly?
- The tap function (tapping on the touch pad works as clicking with a mouse) does not work.
- The corner tap function cannot be set as the Enable Tap Zone Function check box is grayed out.
- The menu of an application does not open sometimes even when tapping on the upper left corner of the touch pad.
- When tapping on the upper left corner of the touch pad, the mouse pointer moves to the upper left corner of the screen sometimes.

- The tap function is not properly set. Follow the steps below to check the tap function and the settings of the corner tap function. The default settings enable the tap function but disable the corner tap function.
1. Right-click the Synaptics Touchpad icon in the task tray in the lower right corner of the window.
2. Click Tap to click from the displayed menu.
* The tap function is enabled when this option is selected.
